This ride takes you from Nandi Hills to Nandi statue at Chamundi Hills, Mysore. With one way distance being close to 200 km, this is more suitable for experienced riders who want to finish in one day. If you still want to do this route, split the journey―halt at Mandya and continue the ride next day. You can start the ride from the top of the Nandi hills and roll towards Mysore. As you enter Bangalore city, you get to choose routes―either via Mandya or Kanakapura. Route via Mandya (Ramanagara-Mandya-Maddur) has more traffic, less trees and plenty of options for food (lip-smacking wide variety of tasty food). But if you are planning to split the distance, then chose this route. Kanakapura Road (Malavalli-Bannur) offers plenty of shades and comparatively less traffic, but very less choices for food stops. It is more suited if you wish to complete the trip in one day. While you are at Nandi statue (midway of Chamundi Temple), it will be unfair if you don't push yourself a bit more to reach the top of Chamundi. Do not forget to take photos in front of Mysore Palace along with your steeds.
