Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) is now introducing new air-conditioned luxury buses that will facilitate your travel to historical monuments and other locations that are of significance. The service will be added to the facility already available in Delhi, via which visitors take hop-on-and-hop-off (HOHO) buses at designated spots. Read less
Referring to this development, officials stated that around 50 historical monuments, prominent markets and gardens will be connected in the circuit and guides will also be available to accompany the tourists on their rides. An official from the Tourism Department further mentioned that as many places of historical value don’t get sufficient attention even by the Delhiites, the new bus services will draw attention to such hotspots, and also woo more visitors.
The said buses will be available at designated spots, that too, at a frequency of 15 - 20 min. The pricing of the ticket has not been decided yet; however, it is expected that a ticket price might be around INR 100, which is, in fact, four times less than the usual amount. Apart from this, tourists will also get a route map and a pair of headphones to listen to an audio commentary, which will be available in various languages.
