Passengers travelling via Shatabdi, Rajdhani and Duronto trains in India will now have to pay more for their meals as per a circular dated November 14, 2019. It has been issued by the Director (tourism and catering) of the Railway Board.
In addition, passengers will have to spend INR 140 and INR 105 in First AC and Second AC, Third AC of Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains respectively. Lunch and dinner charges will be INR 245 in First AC as well as INR 185 in Second AC and Third AC of Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains. The evening tea would cost INR 140 in First AC and INR 90 in Second AC and Third of Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains.
Sleeper Class passengers of Duronto trains will have to spend INR 65 for Breakfast, INR 120 for Lunch or Dinner and INR 50 for Evening Tea.
Revised prices of standard meals:
Breakfast (Veg)- INR 40
Breakfast (Non-veg) – INR 50
Standard Meal Veg – INR 80
Standard Meal Non-veg (With Egg Curry)- INR 90
The revised menu and tariff will be implemented in the ticketing system after 15 days and will applicable after 120 days from November 14.
