He came up with 29 principles, which taught them about the way of living. Another fact about the Bishnoi community is that they worship the Hindu deity Vishnu, and are vegetarians.
Humans and wildlife
The village of Bishnoi is also known for its lush greenery amid the arid landscape and this is only because of the community’s efforts. The rules here are extremely strict as cutting green trees is against the law. The Khejri tree here is considered very important.
Tourism
The Bishnoi Village Safari here is an organisation started by kings of Jodhpur, which allows tourists to understand the rich cultural heritage and life of Bishnoi people. The village is quite pretty and colourful. Guda Bishnoi Lake here is a natural lake and makes for an ideal picnic spot.
Safaris
Then, there is Salawas, the weaver’s village or the land of magic carpets. Here ,durry or rugs are woven out of cotton or wool. These people use primitive forms of weaving.
