Located within the Darling Harbour precinct, this unique marine aquatic environment provides an amazing opportunity to discover an incredible 13,000 animals from 700 different species – including the world’s largest variety of Australian aquatic life. The sightings embrace some of the world’s most incredible animals, including the beautiful dugongs – two of only five on display anywhere in the world, huge sharks, graceful stingrays, jellyfish, penguins, seahorses, thousands of tropical fish and much more. Most interesting is coming in close contact with different varieties of shark, from Lemon Sharks, Grey Nurse Sharks, Leopard Shark, Black Tip Reef Shark, Grey Reef Shark to the incredible Smalltooth Sawfish, while walking through an impressive 100 metres of ocean-tunnel. The awe-inspiring underwater activities impress everyone, irrespective of age. A ride on a Glass Bottom boat is available to observe marine creatures closely. This aquatic museum is also host to other habitats including Streams and Billabongs, Sydney Harbour, Rocky Shores, and Discovery Rockpool, each showcasing unique animals including blue sea stars, live coral, spotted whip rays, crustaceans, wobbegongs and moon jellyfish. From the mysterious oceans of the past, to the tropical waters of north Australia, including the world’s biggest and most impressive Great Barrier Reef, a trip to Sea Life Sydney Aquarium takes visitors around Australia’s coastline, out into its oceans and into its waterways.
