There are plenty of things to do in Mumbai, and these top attractions will help you experience the maximum city in all its glory. The city’s tourist district lies in south Mumbai, where you’ll find heritage sites such as Elephanta Island, the Gateway of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, its oldest Anglican church St. Thomas Cathedral, Flora Fountain and Hutama Chowk. It also offers some of the city’s most memorable experiences: take an evening stroll along the Marine Drive promenade towards Chowpatty Beach, watch washer-folk at work in the world’s largest Laundromat at Dhobi Ghat, or dine at the historic Taj Mahal Palace and Tower hotel. Further away, you can visit Mumbai’s floating shrine at Haji Ali or savour some serene moments at the Walkeshwar Temple and Banganga Tank in Malabar Hill. If you’re lucky, you might even land a short role in a Bollywood film during your visit.
