Built in 1652, the original part of the Dutch colonial Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum is considered to be the oldest structure in New York City. A National Historic Landmark, this rustic building was a working farm until 1901. Visitors to the museum learn about the daily, agrarian lives of the region’s earliest Dutch and English immigrants, and can tour the surrounding fields, which are the site of workshops for gardeners and a weekly farmer’s market during the warmer months. The venue provides a destination where visitors can learn about the history of Brooklyn's colonial farms.
