Dhanushkodi, located on the southern tip of Pamban Island in Tamil Nadu, was a thriving town until it was devastated by a cyclone in 1964. The remnants of the town, including dilapidated buildings and a railway station, stand as a haunting reminder of the tragedy.

Ross Island, located near Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, was once the administrative headquarters of the British during colonial times. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the capital of the Mughal Empire during the 16th century. It was abandoned shortly after its construction due to a scarcity of water. The deserted city showcases stunning architectural marvels, including the Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid.
