Over the last few years, there has been an unprecedented spurt in the number of coffee outlets leading some connoisseurs to call it the next-gen wave in coffee. Some of it sounds far too technical and ominous for something that is often considered mandatory by many to kickstart the day and keep it going. Nevertheless, a coffee tour in Melbourne’s down town, sipping on a variety of concoctions, stepping in and out of quirky and unusually cafes, is not a bad way to spend a morning.
