It isn't actually a market, but more of a DIY canteen. Order from the counter, and watch as the chef fries or grills whatever fish you fancy. With wooden cutlery, paper plates, bare brick walls and no waiting staff, this is a no frills yet hip option popular with trendy Trastevere types.

All of the above keeps the prices down. You buy by weight, so you can go all out on lobster or keep it cheap with a cone of fried octopus. There are also several a la carte options to choose from such as the antipasto crudo platter, and all fish is locally caught.
