While many restaurants have made good use of the lake-view, but here is one restaurant that has used the canal to its benefit. Located right in between the Swaroop Sagar and the Pichola is the Jasmine restaurant that sits comfortably on the pavement beside the water body. The restaurant can be accessed via the Daiji Bridge and is a bit tricky to locate, but a simple Google map navigation will get you there easily. The restaurant can be accessed via foot or by a two-wheeler; however it will be slightly difficult to enter the narrow lanes of the old city using a car or any other bigger vehicle. Though hard to reach but the open-air restaurant offers great food, service, ambience and a tranquil view within an affordable budget. The laid-back atmosphere teamed with picturesque view of the moon behind the trees is something one cannot miss. If you closely notice, you could also see the detailed paintings hand-drawn on the canal walls. The restaurant will certainly be a best fit for backpackers and travelers who do not wish to burn a hole in their pockets. Filled with cane furniture, rice lights and candles all around, the restaurant packs in a good punch with its Indian and continental dishes. Jasmine restaurant’s specialty lies in its authentic Rajasthani delicacies and one must try their cashewnut curry and Indian breads. The restaurant also serves beer and refreshing mocktails catered to each person’s taste requirements.
