Located inside one of Winnipeg’s only luxury hotels, The Fairmont, Velvet Glove Restaurant & Lounge is committed to bringing fresh, local products to both residents and visitors alike. The chef here is committed to serve the best in terms of Manitoba products and dedicates much of his time to reinvent the menu based on what is available nearby. This is not your typical hotel restaurant; here diners will find choices such as hand-cut bison carpaccio, chicken supreme and coriander braised lamb shanks. An impressive wine list is accompanied by an amazing wine wall where a qualified staff member will take you through the choices that will work best with your dinner choices. Beautiful hanging chandeliers, white-clothed tables and a variety of seating options set the stage for a romantic meal. The best part about this restaurant, if you happen to be staying in the very romantic Fairmont Winnipeg, is that all you have to do to return to your room is ride the elevator up from just outside the restaurant.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
