NYC Cravings may be the most authentic piece of Chinatown cuisine to ever park itself in Midtown. The truck's secret lies in its super-crispy Taiwanese frying techniques. The menu includes fried chicken, pork chop or Tian-Bu-la (fish cake), all served atop a bed of white rice and accompanied by a thick, salty-sweet sauce made of pork and tangy cabbage. Vegetarians might have a tough time making a meal from this truck, though they could probably subsist on the excellent pickled greens alone. It's hard to say if deep-fried Taiwanese comfort food is truly gourmet, but these dishes really hit the spot around lunchtime.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
