Housed in an elegant old-style townhouse near Lumphini Park, Mango Tree has been serving classic Thai dishes for over 20 years. Decorated with vintage cameras and photographs taken by the owner, Mr Phithaya Phanphensophon, the restaurant feels like a personal labour of love. Warm wood-panelled walls create a cosy atmosphere inside, while a spacious, leafy courtyard hosts live traditional music and dance performances nightly.
It's just as popular with visitors as with locals nowadays, but the eatery is still worth a visit for its classic Thai dishes (think stir-fries and tom yum soups) prepared and presented with flawless skill.
