You’ve heard of the pizza, pasta and sandwich shops that offer some of the best in quick bites in Rome, but what if you are craving some deep fried goodness? Look no further than Supplizio, located in the heart of the city on Via dei Banchi Vecchi. What exactly are these delicious deep fried balls of goodness we are talking about? Simply put, they are deep fried rice balls, ranging in flavours and fillings. Supplizio is a quaint eatery, with sofas and arm chairs to relax while you enjoy these amazing rice balls. These may range from traditional, classic, to arrabiata and cacio de pepe suppl, with a plethora of wine on hand to accompany them. At about 3 Euros a ball, they are large enough, so you only need one or two as a snack before dinner and with a glass of red wine, nothing could taste better. The owner here is always available to chat, recommend places around the area to visit, and serve you the delicious flavours of supplizio.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
