S’Apposentu isn’t just a restaurant, but also a hotel where guests can partake in cooking classes, it is really a whole new way of embracing food and life. Excellent quality local ingredients are used to prepare delicious dishes by Chef Roberto Petza. Appetizers include the mouth-watering roasted flying squid cooked with wild herbs and flowers, served with smoked ricotta cream and crispy vegetables. Pasta dishes are fantastic and prepared with homemade pasta. Must tries are the ravioli filled with pumpkin which is served with butter, bacon, onion and pecorino cheese, and the lasagnette with sheep ragout, artichokes and ricotta cheese. Meat and fish dishes are superb, and among them, the roasted black cod served with tomato water and crispy vegetables; the crispy red mullet served with its own broth and olives; and chargrilled beef served with a sour salad and a capers vinaigrette are superlative. Needless to say, the atmosphere is cosy, sophisticated and relaxed, while the service is incredibly professional.
