Sargent Sundae is where you will find the majority of locals on a hot sunny day. This ice-cream parlour tops the best of the best when it comes to a dessert restaurant. The only downfall is the lineup that reaches out the door and down the street when the sun shines. Although they have a tremendous selection of delicious ice-creams to choose from, it’s their soft serve delights that are their claim to fame. Expect to see pumpkin pie flavoured soft serve ice cream in the fall and the best banana splits in the city. They are open seasonally so it’s best to call or check online to ensure they are open before you head out. Kids scream for this ice-cream, parents scream for their ice-cream and it wouldn’t be a visit to the city of Winnipeg without stopping here at least once.
