If you're a judge-a-book-by-its-cover type of person, it's probably best that you enter Sagar blindfolded. The chintzy decor starts with trickling fountains at the entrance and ends at the hideously upholstered chair on which you rest your bum.
But swallow one bite of the scrumptious Northern Indian cuisine, and you'll gladly stay put. Part of the redeveloped, upmarket food street that is 'One Bangsar', Sagar serves up fresh tikka dishes, goshts and tandooris as well as faithful renditions of classics like methi fish, butter chicken, and amritsari dal. The fluffy naan breads—stuffed with dried fruit and nuts—come highly recommended.
