As is common in food business, the number of new restaurants opening annually in the country is less than the number being closed. With the recent opening of its second branch in the city (one in Bapuji Nagar and the other in Chandrashekharpur), Taste of China, a part of County Kitchen, seems to strike all the right chords in its gastronomic endeavour. Replete with kitschy decors, it includes dark red tall sofas, images of Buddha, dragon paintings which gives it a feel of Tibetan ambience rather than Chinese! The soups and starters at this place pack some serious flavour. With the old world concept of half plate options, visitors can treat themselves to a variety of Chinese dishes. The Pan Fried Chicken with Celery and Pepper is a favourite of non-vegetarians while the mildly spicy and tangy Paneer Hong Kong dry finds it fan following among the vegetarians. With the usual Chinese dishes of Dim sum, Fried rice, Noodles and Chop seuy gracing the menu, Taste of China offers the best Chinese cuisine in Bhubaneshwar at a great value.
