Forming an archipelago in the Bay of Bengal, Andaman Islands is well known for its lush green countryside, white sandy beaches and mangroves which give it a distinctive look. There are around 300 islands, out of which only handful can be visited by tourists. Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is well known for its Cellular Jail and is the base to explore the union territory. Havelock Island is the most frequented among all the islands and has great tropical resorts as well as backpacker shacks. Tourists from India and the world over come to Andaman for its untouched beaches and rich marine life. No visit to Andaman can be complete without trying its cuisine, especially scrumptious seafood. The cuisine is influenced by its diverse migrant population from Bengal, Burma, South India and North India. Most of the restaurants have fresh seafood available which can be cooked in local as well as western styles. Following are some of the best restaurants on Andaman Islands.
