The coffee served at this little "micro roastery" and espresso bar in Grunerløkka is a world away from the bland stuff churned out by the big chains. The beans, roasted on the premises, are bought in small batches for freshness and seasonality, and are served in the most appropriate way to bring out their particular flavour.

Traceability and sustainability is paramount too – owner and celebrated barista Tim Wendelboe knows most of the growers personally. The café itself is tiny - a total of five chairs - so it's not ideal for reading or catching up with emails, but this just means you can concentrate solely on the excellent coffee.
