Authentic Japanese dishes served in a breathtaking setting
Word to the wise: To really soak up the spectacular views of the Dubai skyline, reserve a table outside on the terrace or by the large windows.

Perched at the top of the iconic Raffles pyramid, TOMO is something special not only thanks to its glorious 360-degree views, but also because of its commitment to true Japanese dining. So, while the view may be unmistakeably of Dubai, you’ll soon feel as though you are dining in Tokyo—particularly as it’s usually brimming with Japanese diners.
Launched by chef and owner Chitoshi Takahashi—recognised as one of the best Japanese chefs in the Middle East—TOMO’s menu is full of Japanese character and impressively comprehensive (though a little too much so—we counted 14 pages). Highlights include the beautifully presented platters of fresh and flavourful sushi and sashimi, the tender miso cod and the perfectly balanced salmon teriyaki.

But the real star of the menu is the utterly decadent wagyu houbayaki with miso paste, charcoal grilled on a houba leaf. Finish it all off with the black sesame mochi—a glutinous sticky rice cake served with goma ice cream.
