Word to the wise: Unless you want to pay to see a concert, arrive after 11pm, or use the rear entrance which leads to the bunker area.

Tipple of choice: The bartenders make a mean Long Island Ice Tea, which is as strong as they come in this country.
Gogol has a bit of something for everyone: there's the main concert hall which is styled like a Parisian circus tent, a bunker-esque bar and a small colourful restaurant tacked on for good measure.

The music is a lively mix of the latest pop and indie hits, Britpop and Russian ska. Pitchers of beer, high tables and occasional live bands on the stage add to the grungy festival buzz.

Summer is the best time to be here, when Gogol's hugely popular huge beer garden is filled to the brim with students, office workers and fun-loving yuppies.
