Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, is a perfect amalgam of historic architecture and a modern city. The destination is dotted with a number of places that are historically crucial. Bhopal's Lakshman Jhula
This hanging bridge on the banks of Upper Lake in Bhopal, is inspired by the famous Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh. It was constructed as a part of an entertainment and tourism complex called Sair Sapata and the main attraction is the bridge. This 183.20 m long and 3.6m wide bridge is made using RCC deck slabs.
Islam Nagar Village
The pictursque village has a rich lineage which can be seen in Its ruined attractions. The village is surrounded with some amazing gardens which narrates stories of the bygone eras. There is a Charbagh which has a pillared structure. Other places to explore in the region include Chaman Mahal, Rani Mahal and Gond Mahal.
Birla Museum
This place is a delight for history lovers and a must-visit attraction in Bhopal. The museum is a part of the famous Birla Temple and is home to a number of interesting artefacts, stone sculptures, manuscripts, and paintings from the 2nd century! It is the perfect place for those who want to get an insight into the city’s rich past.
Bhopal’s Taj Mahal
You’ll be amazed to know that there’s a Taj Mahal in Bhopal which is a replica of the world-famous Taj Mahal in Agra. The monument in Bhopal was built by Nawab Shah Jahan Begum, who was an art lover. It nearly took 13 years to build this one. This 19th century structure was used as a royal residence.
