One of the plushest hotels in Gangtok, Elgin was built by the king of Sikkim in 1932. Grandeur meets comfort in this hotel and you will sense it the moment you step inside. Huge fireplaces, tapestry decked corridors, Burma teak flooring, ornate artwork such as thangka paintings, intricate motifs, sparkling chandeliers and a huge in-house library is what awaits you at Elgin. The hotel has 25 luxury rooms and suites that come with all the facilities for a comfortable stay. Most of the rooms overlook the Himalayas and offer stunning views.
