Another good bet is the Ganga Beach Resort, a slick colonial-style tourist accommodation that is as perched on the banks of the holy Ganges. The hotel, which refers to itself as a resort cum hotel has great amenities, restaurant, a seated terrace, an exercise room, an outdoor pool, a courtyard and a spa with a sauna, and of course, shares spaces. It lies about 1.3 kilometres from the famous Lakshman Jhula and 11 kilometres from the equally famous Parmarth Niketan ashram. Check with the resort if they are providing shuttle services to and fro the Lakshman Jhula and the property. The rooms – Deluxe, Family Cottages, Executive Rooms and Suites – are well-kept and outfitted with the modern amenities; however, the food is quite average and high-priced. Give it a try once and if it doesn’t suit your expectations, order a packed meal from the Chotiwala Restaurant to your resort.
