Yes, there is a hotel in the Arctic Circle that generates more energy than it consumes. A Norweigan architecture firm, Snøhetta, is leading the project. The proposed hotel is built in Svart, and is the first hotel in the world to be labelled as a ‘Powerhouse Hotel’. As a remarkable step towards sustainable hospitality practices, this hotel is consuming 85 per cent less energy as compared to other hotels. Read less
