The pioneers of homestays in the region, Susmitha and Shreedev, have run Woodway for over a decade. Look forward to excellent company, knowledgeable plantation walks with Shreedev and delicious food supervised by Susmitha, when visiting Woodways. There is a coffee plantation bungalow which makes for the private yet cosy stay. Choose a room with a fireplace to get a feel of the plantation life, though all rooms are aesthetically charming with earthy furnishings and natural light filtering in. The highlight for most guests is the walk into the coffee plantations led by Browny, the family dog. Despite hard of hearing and not able to see well, he is the most trusted company that you can ask for. Conversations flow easy with Susmitha and Shreedev who are extremely passionate about their hometown and are deeply involved in conservation activities for the forested areas. One has to step out for meals to the common pavilion, hopping across a small drying yard. Trekking, birdwatching and golfing are some of the activities on offer, but nothing beats sitting in the common drawing area and catching up on a good book, briefly taking in the stunning views of the plantations and towering peaks behind them.
