Maggie Mae's was named after an infamous prostitute from the Texas town of Liverpool who routinely robbed her otherwise satisfied clients. A naughty, mischievous spirit permeates the bar, but don't worry - you won't get rolled.
Carved out of four historic buildings, Maggie Mae's is one of 6th Street's largest bars. You can listen to danceable bands on three stages, enjoy the view from the roof, or have a conversation in a quiet lounge. In business since 1978, the bar attracts young and old alike, including many University of Texas alumnae looking to reminisce about all the Maggie Mae nights they can't quite remember.
