This is probably one of the most well-known cheap bars in town with crowds flocking there every night. Since its opening in 1982, it has become quite a legend among backpackers, expats and locals alike. The prices for drinks there can hardly be beaten, be it beer or mixed drinks. But it’s not only the incredibly low prices that attract so many people every night, it’s also the bar’s design which is probably nothing like you’ve ever seen before. A random collection of what looks like driftwood, old signs, bottle caps, bells, animal figures, branches, LED lights and even a little model train, which actually goes round and round all night, makes this place so wonderfully whimsical. There are just a few rather rickety chairs and tables, so chances are you’ll be standing (unless you get there right when the place opens), but that’s just another part of the fun there. If you want to experience this fantastic place, you’ll need to hurry up though. The land where the bar is located has been sold for construction, and the bar’s lease will end by March 2017. But until then, this place is 100% worth a visit.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
