Noteworthy for: The Highball's owners bought, transported, and restored the 1950s bowling facilities originally installed in New Orleans' Rock 'n Bowl.

In addition to antique bowling lanes, The Highball offers karaoke rooms, local bands, and offbeat events such as burlesque shows. Opened in 2009, The Highball occupies a cavernous space in a strip center anchored by Alamo Drafthouse, a popular, offbeat movie theater. The businesses draw similar crowds, creating a quirkiness vortex.
The various amusement areas surround a large central bar, with well-spaced tables that allow plenty of room to breathe, even when the place gets packed. After a hard night of bowling or singing badly, you can also eat at The Highball: the small menu features locally sourced burgers, chicken, and vegetable plates.
