Apart from this, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) is already in the process of investing a sum of INR 400 crore for carrying out various expansion works and improving facilities for passengers at the already existing Dabolim airport. The AAI projects at this airport at the moment include extension of the terminal building and creation of parking bays among other things.

Apart from this, a parallel taxiway is also being constructed by the AAI at Dabolim International Airport.
Also, for enhancing the capacity and passenger throughput at the airport, some of the things that the Dabolim Airport is all set to get include an in-line X-ray baggage system, a self-kiosk system, and additional Common User Terminal Equipment (CUTE).
The increasing volume of tourist arrivals in Goa by air is clearly reflected by the last year’s data, which reveals that the Dabolim Airport has handled as many as 7.5 million passengers during that period.
