What started out as a modest effort to display the area’s butterflies and birds back in 1903, has today morphed into an extensive collection of mammals, birds & nests with eggs, reptiles, fish and insects of many varieties. Each of these specimens has been captured, stuffed and preserved, and total a whopping 4,300 covering the spectrum of Himalayan fauna and Bengal wildlife. This popular space has been frequented by many eminent personalities who have visited Darjeeling. Hidden from view in a compound just off Bishop Eric Benjamin road, it can be reached by just a short walk from the Chowrasta Mall.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
