After you’re done gawking at the three mammoth towers of Marina Bay Sands, cast your eyes down to the unusual flower-shaped building located just off the hotel premises. The Art Science Museum was built to resemble a lotus (or a welcoming hand), and its unique shape has fast become a recognizable part of the city’s skyline. The unusual structure houses 21 galleries covering 50,000 sq ft, and hosts a permanent exhibition demonstrating creativity through the synthesis of art and science (hence the hybrid name). Popular international touring exhibitions are also brought in on a regular basis, and late-night events every month allow you to see the museum in a different light. Browse the website for more details, and pre-book your tickets online or at any SISTIC outlet around Singapore to avoid the long queues during peak periods.
