Bosphorus Boat Tour

The Bosphorus Strait is the continental divide between Western Asia and Eastern Europe, as well as the waterway the connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara. It has been the lifeblood of Istanbul since the area was first set up, and still remains an important waterway to this day.
A Bosphorus boat tour is an ideal way to soak in the impressive and varied architecture of the different neighborhoods of Istanbul lining opposite sides of the river. It also provides a unique view of the various castles, mosques, and other sights that you’ll pass, such as, the Maiden’s Temple. There are two short versions, as well as a full day’s trip to the mouth of the Black Sea.

One can find a variety of different companies that offer boating tours on the Bosphorus, so I would recommend doing a little research online beforehand, to pick a proper one, rather than just opting for whatever the tout tries to sell to you.
Expert Advice: If you have more time, also walk the Bosphorus Straight. The slower pace allows you to soak up more of the atmosphere and pause for that perfect photo whenever the moment arises.
