If you are looking for the largest variety of retail shops in one location, then head to Chinook Centre without a second thought. Located on the corner of Macleod and Glenmore Trail SW, this mall is absolutely mammoth and cannot be missed. When I say mammoth I mean it, over 1,355,000 square feet and featuring over 250 stores. Along with the abundance of stores, the centre also features a bowling alley, perfect for those looking to take a break from shopping. If it is a movie you are after, head to the theatre where you will find lots of screens including IMAX. It boasts the only stand-alone Tiffany’s store between Toronto and Vancouver, and the department store Nordstrom and Tory Burch, just to name a few. In 2010, this mall saw a huge expansion take place, adding 180,000 square feet of new retail space. New high-end stores were added, such as Harry Rosen, Coach and Armani Exchange; some of them were brand new to the city. If you are still alive in 2999 come here, when the time capsule is opened; currently it sits suspended in the ceiling of the mall.
