Just across the expressway from the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort lies these rather futuristic looking structures which make up the Gardens by the Bay - it’s hard to miss these rather alien-looking dome structures which hold the Cooled Conservatories, as well as the tall tree-like structures that look like they came from the movie Avatar. The Cooled Conservatories in the domes are made up of the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, and are literally cool places to visit, with the temperature at a moderate 23-25 degrees celsius on average, much welcome in Singapore's hot and humid climate and allows for plants you might not otherwise see in this part of the world to flourish. Meanwhile the tree-like structures make up the Supertrees Grove, which are actually vertical gardens and you really should take a walk along the elevated walkway called the OCBC Skyway, which gives you an awesome view of the surrounding gardens and Singapore skyline. A Children’s Garden with lots of play equipment like trampolines and bridges was opened in 2014. Check the schedules on the website before you go to make sure none of the areas you want to visit are closed to maintenance.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
