Do you remember the last time when you slept like a ‘baby’? In today’s busy and noisy life, we barely get to experience that peaceful, sound, and rejuvenating goodnight’s sleep. Our mornings pass quickly, afternoons go by working on the laptops, and on most nights, we turn insomniacs. This a common thing the current generation is going through, and it’s quite evident by the fact that the super luxurious Four Seasons Resorts in Bali has come up with a super special and till-date unheard of service where a Buddhist nun rocks you to sleep!
The surroundings and the set up
When it comes to the set up, it draws inspiration from a concept that is prevalent in Bali. So in Bali, mothers wrap their toddlers in a sarong and hang it at the most peaceful spot of the house where babies are rocked to sleep. The same concept applies here also.
If you book the ‘sacred sleep’ service, you’ll be first taken under a wooden roof made using bamboo. There you’ll see a pretty purple hammock hanging right at the centre. After you climb into the hammock, you’ll be transported back in time, when you were a baby and sleep was your best friend. Inside this purple silk cocoon, you’ll feel completely relaxed.
Then the nun begins her aromatherapy mask using essential oils that she puts over your eyes, which relaxes your mind, body and soul. Then begins the guided meditation, where nun asks guests to imagine themselves in the womb, where life began.
This might be one of the costliest sleeps but it’s all worth it!
