Tagged at $30 admission price per person, this one sure bites a chunk in your pocket but animal lovers wouldn’t want to miss it at any cost! Melbourne zoo, the oldest zoo in the Melbourne city and the third oldest in the world is home to over 320 species from around the world, including Australian native wildlife as well as rare and endangered exotic animals. Here, you will be able to see most creatures that hop, skip, burrow and crawl across the land or swim underwater; you may be able to spot them in their natural environment too. It’s spread in a humongous complex and is a great pick with the kids, so expect a lot of kids jumping and hopping around. Getting up close and personal with some of the Zoo’s most charismatic animal residents, such as ring-tailed lemurs, tigers, monkeys, orangutans, kangaroos and Asian elephants makes for an awe-inspiring educational tour. What makes the tour even more exciting is the interactive exhibits specially designed for kids and the exclusive street art displays that can bunch hours of fun learning engagement for locals and tourists alike.
The zoo is conveniently located minutes away from the city center which simply means you don’t have to shell out big bucks to get there – a timer saver too!
