St Michael’s street is the busting bazaar of Bratislava that uses the exotic ambience from the past to mesmerize the visitors while they can enjoy food and shopping here. This place is particularly amazing during cool summer evenings. Roaming in and around St Michael’s street is like soaking in the charms of old world. St Michael’s Gate located in this area is the original gate from the medieval fortified city of Pressburg. The history of its foundation goes back to 14th century and was obviously renovated or modified several times after that. It gets its name from the statue of St Michael placed on top of its tall tower. If you manage to go on to the top floor of this tower, you get a spectacular view of the city of Bratislava—you can see the old town from top and the Bratislava Castle. Read less
