Places to witness December 26 Annular Solar Eclipse in India

The rare phenomenon of the Annular Solar Eclipse on December 26, 2019, has the lovers of astronomy and sky gazers in delight. The sky event would be visible from a number of places in India; some of the prime spots to watch the solar eclipse are Kerala, especially in Cheruvathur, Tamil Nadu, parts of Haryana including Kurukshetra, Karnataka, Puducherry, and Chennai.
While it will be evidently visible in most of the cities in South India, Other parts in India will also witness a partial solar eclipse. IThe eclipse will last till 1:30 PM, reaching its peak at 10:47 AM; it is when the Sun would be fully covered by the Moon, lasting for four minutes. It is estimated that the eclipse would set the sky alight with a bright ring of fire at its peak.


The Annular Solar Eclipse on December 26 is the third solar eclipse for this year and would be live-streamed on a number of internet channels as well.
