Prado Museum

Visit the art paradise of Europe – Prado Museum is undoubtedly the best known museum in Madrid. Start with Francisco Goya’s dark and intriguing works. The haunting Black Paintings is a collection of 14 paintings, which depict the intense perspective the artist developed later in his life.
The other homegrown names to see include Diego Velazquez’s Las Meninas (Ladies in Waiting), and Surrender at Breda; also, El Greco’s brilliant Una Fábula (A Fable), and El caballero de la Mano en el Pecho (The Nobleman with his Hand on his Chest).

Don’t forget to divide time for the famous European names here like Titian’s magnificent Equestrian Portrait of Emperor Charles V at Muhlberg, Albrecht Durer’s Self Portrait, Rubens’ The Three Graces, and Raffael’s The Cardinal.
