With the addition of an eccentric billionaire and his vision of an elaborate temple, one that has already been under construction for more than 20 years yet still is not complete. Welcome to Prasat Sut Ja-Tum, famous as the Sanctuary Of Truth.
Overlooking the gulf on the shore of Nakluea, not far from the Pattaya city sign, the Sanctuary of Truth is a massive hand-carved wooden temple with four points, each of which represents the primary artistic and philosophical influences of Thailand—Chinese, Hindu, Khmer and Thai. It will still be several years before the temple is complete, even with a team of 250 woodcarvers doing what they do best, seven days a week.

How to get here?
It is possible to take a songthaew to Nakluea if you are already relatively close. From there, it is a 15-minute walk to the Sanctuary of Truth. However, if coming from further away, it is best to hire a baht bus or motorcycle taxi.
