Spread across eight acres, this expansive complex is a great place to get schooled in India’s traditional arts and crafts. This cultural centre houses three museums, along with artist studios, a ceramic centre, an enamel centre, an amphitheatre, a library and workshop areas. Situated near Qutub Minar in the outskirts of Delhi, it is surrounded green laws, trees and ponds and makes for pleasant escape from the city. This cultural centre houses three museums, along with artist studios, a ceramic centre, an enamel centre, an amphitheatre, a library and workshop areas. Situated near Qutub Minar in the outskirts of Delhi, it is surrounded green laws, trees and ponds and makes for pleasant escape from the city. It was established in 1979 by the Sanskriti Foundation with the aim of preserving indigenous heritage and craftsmanship. The three museums are the Museum of Everyday Art, Museum of Indian Terracotta and Textile Museum. The foundation also hosts regular workshops for children, residencies for artists, lectures, craft demonstrations, and guided tours.
