The State Forest Department of Goa with the support of Goa Tourism and two other organisations are going to host the second edition of the Goa Bird Festival from January 12 to 14 at the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary in Canacona.
Some of the bird species are endemic to the state itself because Goa has a unique blend of marine life and tropical forests, two diverse ecosystems thriving together in one place.

Apart from all this, there will be a special tour for viewing the oceanic birds on the Arabian Sea.
For those who really love birds, this bird festival of Goa will also host several engaging discussions and debates on various topics regarding birds. Also, there will be a number of lectures given out by leading experts having a strong knowledge of this field.
Being organised at a time when it is a suitable to visit Goa, this bird festival might add as something new about the otherwise popular beach destination that tourists from all parts can experience.
