Larcomar is one of the coolest and most modern shopping centres in Lima. It boasts of stunning ocean views and is a hit with Lima’s youngsters. However it is also extremely convenient for tourists as it is located right opposite some of Lima’s best hotels including Marriott. The shopping centre itself offers a pleasant open air shopping experience, very different from standard multi-storied mall buildings that are merely brick and mortar structures. There are plenty of restaurants and eateries on the ground floor that offer dozens of options to eat. International chains such as TGIF and MacDonald’s can be found but we suggest trying something local like Papacho’s, a restaurant that is extremely popular with locals. You can also have Peruvian dishes such as ceviche and escabeche at one of the stalls lining the ground level. Of course Larcomar is not all about food. There are plenty of shopping options too. It’s easy to shop for clothes, shoes, accessories, and even electronic items here. The shopping complex also has a large supermarket where you will find lots of snacks, fresh products, and everyday knick-knacks. Even if you’re not in the mood to shop or eat, Larcomar is the perfect place to sip on a coffee and watch the world go by.
