Indian Railways has decided to come up with Swarna coaches for its premium trains Rajdhani and Shatabdi. The prime objective of the project is to provide passengers some amazing train journey experiences. 'Project Swarna' will focus on 14 Rajdhani and 15 Shatabdi trains and will provide "improved passenger amenities, aesthetics and hygiene standards," according to a press release by the Ministry of Railways.
1. As per railways ministry, Project Swarna will provide improved passenger experiences on Rajdhani and Shatabdi that will basically work in 10 dimensions, including interiors, toilets, cleanliness, catering, linen, staff behaviour, security, entertainment, and real time feedback.
3. Nine teams have been formed for Project Swarna by the Indian railways. Both teams have two Railway Board officers, who will monitor the work development.

4. The first Rajdhani that was refurbished under Project Swarna (New Delhi-Sealdah) had LED lighting, night signage for trouble-free identifications of berth, CCTV cameras, auto janitor systems in toilets, and stainless steel wash basins along with improved soap dispensers.
5. Also the First AC passengers in the Rajdhani trains are provided with two different colours of blanket and built in ladders for effortless access to upper berth.
All these things that are being implemented by Indian Railways will surely provide a smooth and trouble-free travelling experience.
