Edmonton is often overshadowed by the capital of Alberta- Calgary, but visitors to the wild west should absolutely consider making a stop in this city, especially if you have your kids with you. Edmonton is a kid-friendly city, teeming with things to see and do including North America’s largest mall. Besides shopping in the 800 stores it offers, spend entire days at the waterpark inside of the world’s largest indoor amusement park that is filled with rides. Take learning to a new level at the interactive science centre, go back in time when the dinosaurs where alive at the Jurassic Forest or visit with the tigers at the Zoo. If that isn’t enough to keep the kids happy, take them biking along one of many kid friendly paths, splash at the free water play area or take a drive to Elk Island National Park to see if you can spot the Northern Lights. With warm summers and starry nights, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why families love visiting this city.
