The Corniche

The Corniche is not just an attraction—it’s the thing that defines the modern rhythm of Casablanca. It is a pulsating neighbourhood overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It’s peppered with sprawling resorts, luxurious hotels, dozens of restaurants and cinema halls. This is where Casablanca’s youngsters and tourists come out to play. There are hundreds of entertainment and dining opportunities—there’s something for everyone. The Corniche is the part of Casablanca that never sleeps.
It has been likened to Jersey Shore on a number of occasions and the analogy isn’t too far from the truth. The glittering sparkly nature of the Corniche and its palm tree lined avenues are a far cry from Morocco’s ethnic markets and colourful souks. The skyscrapers, modern resorts and hotels make for a vibrant picture. You could well be mistaken into thinking you are in the US or Europe instead of the North African heartland. Head to the Corniche once you’ve had your fair share of Medinas and alleyways and you will not be disappointed. Make sure you dine at one of the ocean-view cafés.
