From grand castles and palaces to a beautiful waterfront a buzzing harbour, there are countless things to do in Naples. Located on the north side of the Bay of Naples, this south Italian port is the principal town of the region of Campania and the province of Napoli. Its narrow, winding streets, steeped lanes and cosy houses with airy balconies give it a peaceful aura. The town is bordered by villa suburbs on west and north and by an industrial zone on the east. The city has gotten quite a makeover in the past few years, and now has new buildings as well as realigned streets, mostly in the area near the harbour, the Rione Santa Lucia.
